Introducing the IPEC Symposium

The Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) is pleased to announce a new program offering: the IPEC Symposium. Designed as a high-impact, one-day learning experience, the Symposium brings together educators, practitioners, researchers, and learners to explore critical issues in interprofessional education (IPE) and collaborative practice. Each event will focus on a timely theme, featuring keynote speakers, interactive sessions, and opportunities for cross-professional dialogue and networking.

IPEC will host its first virtual Symposium on November 13, 2025, themed Laying the Foundation: Interprofessional Education in a Time of Change. This one-day event will provide a timely opportunity to explore how interprofessional education for collaborative practice (IPECP) can respond to evolving needs in health and higher education.

Participants will engage with national leaders and peers to examine foundational strategies that support the design, delivery, and sustainability of IPE—especially in the face of shifting priorities, environments, and expectations.

Audience

• Leaders, directors, and program coordinators responsible for the development, implementation, and assessment of campus-wide IPE initiatives
• Institutional leaders responsible for overseeing the school’s/program’s academic programs and policies, including curriculum design and management
