MedEdPORTAL IPE Collection


MedEdPORTAL® ( is an open access journal of teaching and learning resources in the health professions hosted by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Indexed by MEDLINE, MedEdPORTAL promotes educational scholarship and collaboration by facilitating the open exchange and dissemination of peer-reviewed materials.

MedEdPORTAL’s Interprofessional Education (IPE) Collection serves as the online destination for high quality IPE resources for use by health professions educators. In addition, the current IPE Collection also houses poster presentations from previous IPEC faculty development institutes.

Get Involved! Volunteer to Review IPE Collection

This year, the Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) and the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) are proud to open a national call for an associate editor to oversee, promote, and curate the MedEdPORTAL® Interprofessional Education (IPE) Collection on MedEdPORTAL.  

IPEC and AAMC are issuing a call to all health professions educators and researchers to review IPE manuscripts and manage the IPE Collection. A MedEdPORTAL Associate Editor will be selected by the IPEC Board of Directors and appointed by the AAMC in May 2019.

Associate Editor Position Description

From its inception, MedEdPORTAL was designed to serve as a prestigious peer reviewed publication for educators to receive recognition for their educational scholarship works and promote these works through worldwide dissemination. MedEdPORTAL has invested in the development of a rigorous peer review process that is aligned with standard industry practices for scholarly publications. Associate editors are an important component of the MedEdPORTAL peer review process.

The Associate Editor appointment for the MedEdPORTAL IPE Collection will begin in summer 2019 with a one-year, renewable appointment.
