IPEC and the AAMC are pleased to welcome Jeannine Nonaillada, PhD, OTR/L, BCG, FAOTA as the Associate Editor for the MedEdPORTAL® IPE Collection on MedEdPORTAL.

Dr. Jeannine Nonaillada is the Assistant Dean of Faculty Development and Mentoring and an Assistant Professor at the New York University (NYU) Long Island School of Medicine. She is also a licensed occupational therapist with clinical experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings and a specialization in gerontology. Additionally, Dr. Nonaillada has an earned research doctorate in social work, with a concentration on aging.


MedEdPORTAL® ( is an open access journal of teaching and learning resources in the health professions hosted by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). Indexed by MEDLINE, MedEdPORTAL promotes educational scholarship and collaboration by facilitating the open exchange and dissemination of peer-reviewed materials.

MedEdPORTAL’s Interprofessional Education (IPE) Collection serves as the online destination for high quality IPE resources for use by health professions educators. In addition, the current IPE Collection also houses poster presentations from previous IPEC faculty development institutes.

Associate Editor Position Description

From its inception, MedEdPORTAL was designed to serve as a prestigious peer reviewed publication for educators to receive recognition for their educational scholarship works and promote these works through worldwide dissemination. MedEdPORTAL has invested in the development of a rigorous peer review process that is aligned with standard industry practices for scholarly publications. Associate editors are an important component of the MedEdPORTAL peer review process.
