Participants in the IPEC ILDP should be a dean (and other senior academic administrators with similar institutional responsibilities) and administrators who are responsible for integrating IPE in school-wide learning experiences. Deans and senior administrators from multiple schools at the same institution are strongly encouraged to attend along with their campus-wide IPE administrator. Participants must be from IPEC member associations schools.
The IPEC ILDP provides an unparalleled learning experience for deans, senior administrators, and those who are responsible for campus-wide IPE. The program includes topics and features such as: leadership competencies associated with IPE for collaborative practice (IPECP) , integrating IPE across the institution and into the community, leadership during institutional and cultural change, outcomes assessment, the leader’s roles in building coalitions and teams, and philanthropy’s perception of IPECP. This year’s program will include breakout sessions with participants showcasing examples of successful IPECP initiatives and discussions of lessons learned. The agenda also provides ample opportunities for peer engagement and networking. Participants will leave the program with a leadership action plan to move IPECP efforts forward at their institutions.
IPEC is soliciting examples of successful IPE practices or recent research to feature at the 2020 IPEC ILDP in the following categories: TBD.
Showcase presenters must be registered to attend the ILDP by March 31, 2020, for consideration. To submit an idea for the showcase, please complete this online form.
We would love to hear about your institution's innovative approach or strategy to address IPE and collaborative practice. 2020 ILDP registrants will be asked to share their unique program, learning activities, interprofessional tools, educational modules, and/or other practical resources that may be of interest and value to colleagues in IPE and IPP.

The IPEC Interprofessional Leadership Development Program (ILDP), Engaging Deans and Campus-Wide IPE Leaders, is a three-day, interactive professional development experience, distinguished by an emphasis on leading in an interprofessional environment. Facilitated by the Academy for Advancing Leadership (AAL), the ILDP engages both senior leaders and administrators responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a campus-wide IPE program.
The ILDP (formerly IDLP) supports IPEC's goal to prepare leaders to advance interprofessional education and interprofessional practice efforts within their institutions. Since 2017, nearly 100 faculty and administrators from health professions education have participated in IPEC's leadership program. Cohort graduates hold positions ranging from department chairs to program directors to deans.
